Complete sustainability upgrade of a detached home
What started with the ambition to make a home more sustainable, comfortable and energy-efficient has grown into a complete energy and climate solution. NOVECTRA has equipped the home with solar panels, a home battery, a charging solution for the electric car, electric underfloor heating and multiple air conditioning systems.

Sustainable energy supply
The basis of the energy supply is formed by 12 JA Solar 450 Wp Full Black solar panels, combined with 6 APsystems micro-inverters. The installation has a total capacity of 5,400 Wp and an estimated annual yield of 4,737 kWh.
To use the generated energy as efficiently as possible, a KSTAR 20 kWh home battery installed. For charging the electric car, the home is equipped with a Zaptec wallbox.
Het resultaat is een woning die niet alleen zelf duurzame energie opwekt, maar deze energie ook kan opslaan en inzetten voor verschillende toepassingen binnen en rondom het huis.
Climate control
Living comfort was also included in the project. NOVECTRA installed both underfloor heating and air conditioning units.
Electric underfloor heating
In the attic and in the conservatory Speedheat electric underfloor heating installed. On the upper floor, approximately 60.00 m² of the total surface area of 74.65 m² is equipped with underfloor heating, with a total heat output of 6,350 watts. In the conservatory, approximately 33.60 m² of the total surface area of 38.12 m² is heated, with a total heat output of 4,450 watts. Both spaces can be controlled separately with a smart digital clock thermostat with touchscreen. This allows the heating to be adjusted to the use of the different rooms.
Air conditioning
For active cooling and additional heating, the first floor has a Daikin air conditioning installation installed. This consists of three anthracite FTXP20N indoor units, connected to two Daikin 3MXM68A split outdoor units. On the upper floor, a separate Daikin installation was also implemented with an FTXM50A indoor unit and corresponding RXM outdoor unit.
The air conditioning installations are fully completed with the necessary refrigerant lines, control wiring, condensate drainage, isolator switches and power cabling. The outdoor units are mounted on Bigfoot substructures. This has resulted in a complete and technically high-quality installation that can contribute to heating as well as cooling.
With this combination of underfloor heating and air conditioning, the home is equipped with a modern, flexibly controllable climate solution, allowing the home to be kept comfortable all year round, both during warm summer days and in the colder months.

Completed project
With the completion of the project, the home has a complete package of sustainable energy and climate solutions.
The solar panels generate sustainable electricity, the KSTAR home battery makes it possible to store this energy and the Zaptec wallbox offers a smart solution for electric driving. At the same time, the Speedheat underfloor heating and Daikin air conditioning systems provide a pleasant indoor climate.
For NOVECTRA, this project is a fine example of how making a home more sustainable can go beyond simply installing solar panels. By viewing energy generation, storage, electric transport, heating and cooling as one whole, a sustainable home with years of living comfort is created.
